Here we are, out scouting new and exciting places to paint and take great photos!
Welcome to My Website
Since a career change in 1994 afforded me the opportunity to devote more time to fine art I've been able to immerse myself in what I love so much, being an artist. Since my first solo art show in 1998 at Masterpiece Gallery in Cincinnati, Ohio, my artwork has been on display at galleries throughout Indiana and in Ohio and Illinois, including the Hoosier Salon annual exhibition at the Indiana State Museum and at the Eugene and Marilytn Glick History Center in Indianapolis.
I've included a sampling of my artwork throughout my website where I hope to share the beauty that compells me to paint. So many things beg to be painted.Art is its own language and there is so much to be said!
I have returned to the subject that sparked my interest in art from my earliest memories. My latest project focuses on portraits. Many of these new pieces are about the love of the arts with music and dance represented in the paintings.
"Follow Your Dream" My painting in this year's Field To Finish art show in New Harmony, Indiana.
Looking ahead to Spring I cannot wait for my annual painting adventure in New Harmony, Indiana. I'll be there with many artist friends and colleagues from April 19th through the 29th. The "First Brush of Spring" Plein Air paint out starts on April 19th with an art show openeing in the New Harmony Hoosier Salon Gallery. This show called "Field to Finish" features quick plein air sketches from the 2016 paint out and a larger studio piece created from these sketches. I'll have paintings in this show as well as new artwork available in the art show and sale on Saturday at the end of the paint out.
The following week is all about learning with workshops from nationally renowned artists from across America teaching workshops. I'll be studying with one of my favorite artists, Laura Robb. I cannot wait for Spring!
